Fox's Earth by Anne Rivers Siddons
Book Number:RD 16939
A gothic saga that revolves around Ruth Yancey, a dirt-poor preacher's
daughter who is rescued from squalor, madness, and incest by the grandest
lady in Sparta, Georgia. Ruth sells her soul to acquire the mansion that
becomes her second home, and she resorts to any means at hand to bequeath it
to her female descendants. Some strong language and some explicit
descriptions of sex.
I left the RD number on this review but I read it on cassette but the web
site didn't list the RC number. Once again there is no disappointment in
another Siddons book. This was the very first one of hers I read several
years ago and some of the scenes are still in my mind. This story spans
several generations and there are characters that you hate and some you
love. A 5 out of 5.
